Ultherapy® in The Woodlands, TX

Gordon Plastic Surgery is pleased to offer Ultherapy®, a FDA-cleared non-invasive skin rejuvenation technique, designed to firm up facial skin that has lost some of its elasticity. The procedure involves no needles and no downtime. Using ultrasonic sound waves, Ultherapy® helps the skin to grow more natural collagen and regenerate healthier skin layers. This can ultimately give the skin a natural “lift” for a more youthful and refreshed appearance. This treatment uses ultrasound imaging to allow direct tissue targeted treatment. By bypassing the surface of the skin, Ultherapy® stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation to result in a significant lift of tissue over several months.

The length of the treatment will depend on the area being treated and your individual treatment plan. A face and neck procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes, while a chest treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. Topical numbing cream will be applied prior to the treatment.

As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered.

With Ultherapy®, there is no downtime. After your procedure, you can resume your normal activities immediately, without having to follow any special post-treatment measures.

After the treatment is complete, you may notice some initial improvement but ultimate results take place over 2-3 months as your collagen is regenerated.

Most patients only need one treatment but it will depend on the degree of skin laxity and collagen regeneration for each individual. Some patients benefit from additional treatments or future touch-up treatments to keep pace with the natural aging process.

Ultherapy® is a great non-invasive treatment for those not ready for surgery or patients looking to extend the effects of prior cosmetic surgery.
